Daily DeviationGiven 2008-05-12"...what interested me upon seeing such still life is unlike any ordinary still life, it is not still and dead, but a living part, and most importantly the part over which the artist himself used to paint this enigmatic painting..." no.562 2008 by *daviddv is the masterpiece that welcomes Traditional Art Week.  Truly disturbing. Your use of light and shadow is masterly. The unanswered question, of course, is whether it's indeed a "still life" and then the many other questions behind that.. like I said, disturbing.

 Whoa, I was looking at that thinking "awesome photography!"... and then noticed it was in paintings. That's some incredible detail, and an awesome concept. Great picture
